Web Design and SEO From Someone Who Lives in Northwich
I’m Glenn. I build websites and do SEO for small businesses in Northwich, and I live in the town myself.
Local, not just listed
I live and work in Northwich, so this isn’t a service area I’ve added to a list. If you’d rather meet in person than do everything over email, it’s easy to arrange. Most projects are handled remotely and that works fine, but the option is there.
Meeting up
For a lot of people, the first conversation about a website or SEO is easier face to face. We can go through what you’ve got now, what’s not working, and what you’d like. I’m happy to meet wherever suits you in Northwich, whether that’s your premises, a café, or somewhere else convenient.
After that, most of the work happens remotely. You’ll get updates as the site takes shape, and you can check it on a private preview link before anything goes live.
Who I work with around Northwich
Mostly trades, independent shops and local service providers: the kind of business where the owner answers the phone and does the work. That covers the town itself and the villages around it, including Hartford, Weaverham, Cuddington, Davenham, Winnington, Kingsmead, Leftwich and Wincham.
Some need a new website. Some have a website that’s fine but can’t be found. Some need both. I’ll tell you honestly which one you are.
Rebuilding a site that’s fallen behind
A lot of the work I do in Northwich isn’t new websites. It’s replacing ones that have stopped pulling their weight: built years ago, slow on a phone, stuck on a website builder, or set up by someone who’s no longer around to change it.
A rebuild starts with what you’ve already got. I look at which pages people actually visit, what Google already shows you for, and what’s worth keeping, so the new site doesn’t throw away the parts that work. Then I rebuild it on WordPress, fast and easy to update, with old page addresses redirected so existing links and search listings still land somewhere sensible.
If you’re on Wix, Squarespace, it’seeze or a similar builder and feel boxed in, moving to WordPress means you’re not tied to one builder’s templates, add-ons or price rises.
Not sure whether you need a rebuild or a few fixes? A website audit will tell you which.
Getting found in the villages, not just the town
People around Northwich often search by village rather than town: “electrician Hartford” or “cleaner Davenham”. Plenty also just search “near me” on their phone, which leans heavily on your Google Business Profile.
If you cover those areas, it helps when your website and your Google Business Profile say so clearly and consistently. That doesn’t mean a separate page for every village. Usually a clear list of the areas you cover, used consistently in the right places, does the job.
For new sites, I set this up as part of the build. For existing sites, it’s the kind of work my monthly SEO service covers: your Google Business Profile, your location details, and the structure of your website.

How pricing works
Every project is quoted at a fixed price, agreed before any work begins. There are no hourly rates and nothing added later.
If you need to get online quickly, the Web Starter Package is a fixed-price three page site at £500, with domain, hosting, and email included. Larger sites are quoted individually based on the number of pages and what the site needs to do.
Every site I build is on WordPress, so you can update text, photos and opening hours yourself without paying someone each time.
Questions from Northwich businesses
How much does a website cost in Northwich?
The Web Starter Package is a fixed price of £500 and covers a three page site with domain, hosting, and email included. Larger sites are quoted individually at a fixed price agreed before work starts. There are no hourly rates and no charges added later.
How long does it take to build a website?
The Web Starter Package is delivered in seven to ten working days. Larger sites take longer, depending on the number of pages and how quickly content and feedback come back. A timescale is agreed with you before the project starts.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site I build is structured for search from the start, loads quickly, and is set up correctly for indexing. That gives it a proper foundation, though where it ranks depends on the competition in your sector and on any ongoing SEO work.
Can you improve or rebuild my current website?
Yes. If a site is slow, dated, or not producing enquiries, it can be rebuilt with a focus on performance and search visibility. A website audit is often the sensible first step, as it establishes what is worth keeping.
Do you work with small businesses in Northwich?
Yes. Most of my clients are small businesses, sole traders, and independent professionals. I work directly with you throughout, with no account managers and no outsourcing.
